Decisions, Decisions!

I haven't had much free time to upload any pictures of the progress on my house, if that's what you want to call it.  I've been so busy lately with other things that I haven't had much time to work on the house.  I've torn out all of the pre-existing flooring (carpet, wood, ceramic tile), primed the whole house, painted one bedroom, and most of the ceilings.  All of the old ceiling fans and lighting fixtures have been taken down, my refrigerator was delivered two weeks ago, and some good friends of mine cut two dead pine trees down in my front yard.  That's all that's been done in the past month.

Today's decision.......which entertainment center to go with?  I have two options:

Or

There's only a $37.00 difference.  I won't tell you which one is the more expensive one, so as not to steer your deciding factor in the cheaper direction.

  1. I pick the second one! I love the carved details!

  2. But, now that I am looking at them again, I kind of like the way the first one't arched top seems to be more grounded to the piece. I am going with the first one!

  3. Penny asked us to pop over and help out with your entertainment center decision. I think I would go with the first one. I like the 3 stacked shelves for your components. Welcome to blogging...I'm a new follower. Come visit my blog when you have time...it sounds like you are pretty busy! ~Ann

  4. Sit calmly...

Then look at the 2 pictures again...

Listen to your "gut feeling"... It will tell you which one you really prefer.

    Go with it.

WE know what is best for ourselves. We just need to listen to ourselves.

Good luck with your wonderful project.

    P.S. Sent over by Penny...

  5. Penny sent me over. You need to pick the one you really like best....but I prefer #1. I like the top of it better and the cupboard doors instead of just open...but that is me.

  6. Hi. Visiting you from Penny's and I would have to say #2 because I like where the VCR or Dish receivers would go. They appear to be wider than the other one and some boxes are wider. I put you in my google reader so I can be sure to visit you again and see which one you decide on.

  7. I like the top of the first one. It doesn't look like it's just set on top like the second one does. But I like the center base of the second one better. Big help I am, huh?! lol!! Are they modular where you can switch the pieces?

  8. Hi there - I'm popping over from Penny's. I vote for #1 I think you might get tired of the carving on #2 and the crown is a little awkward, the way it is squared off on the ends - looks sort of 'stuck on' whereas the arch on #1 is very smooth and natural. Good luck!

  9. I like #1 the best. I like it's curvy lines on top, instead of a stark top like the second one has. The curvy lines look like they melt into the furniture and compliment it, whereas the second one looks like its crown is too short for the furniture, as if someone stuck it on top there and forgot it.

I also like the fact that you could put your equipment in three baskets in the top one (just cut a hole in the baskets for the wires) and hide the equipment, if you want to, and it would like decorative.

Anyway, just go with your gut and if you can't decide what you like the most, go with the one that you dislike the least!

  10. We would need the second one because it has the openings below the tv! You need to see what your components are and if they will fit in this openings! I like the design of the second a bit better, too! ♥

  11. I like #2 because you can put the cable box or vcr thingy there. The only thing, I guess, is will the size of your electronic thingies go in those two shelves below the tv? Are the little shelves on #1 adjustable? They both are beautiful so I'd say which has the size of openings for ever how many electronic gadgets you have. Good luck, either choice is beautiful.

  12. I'm here because of Penny. To tell you the truth they're both too busy (and brown) for me, but of the two, the top one (#1) is better.

  13. I came to visit because I'm a blog friend of Penny's. I love the first one but you should be sure you choose the one that meets your storage needs and will handle all of your audio and TV equipment. Will be back to see what you decide.

  17. Came over from Penny's blog. I like number one the best but they are both beautiful.

I admire your makeover ambition. It is a challenge to say the least. Good luck with your project. It is a huge undertaking. The results will be so worth the hard work.

  18. Penny sent me - came by to say hello! I wouldn't have to choose because I don't even have a room where a gigantic piece such as this would fit, lol! However, agree you need to decide which storage areas - especially the shelves - will be the right fit for you. Personally I do like the style of #1 best though.

Decisions, decisions - hope to come back and see which one you pick and then see it in place in your room later.

    Good luck.
